And the wedding March begins…

March 2022 saw the first of this years wedding cakes leaving the cake studio.

After a somewhat quiet winter on the cake front, due in part to taking time off over Christmas, catching covid (again!) and moving house in February it had felt like weddings were a long time coming!

We started the month with Charlotte and Gareth. Their’s was a cake with the WOW factor! A beautiful 4 tier cake with silver glitter, diamantés, sugar and dried flowers. It look stunning in the gorgeous Cristal Suite at Thornton Hall Hotel.

Up next was Claire and Nick who celebrated their wedding at a wonderful venue called The Little Fox. They chose to spoil their guests with a fabulous cupcake tower in an assortment of flavours including Lemon, Biscoff (a firm favourite with my couples!) and Reeses. Absolutely delicious!

Wedding no.3 was for the lovely El and Aaron. A beautifully understated 3 tier in the palest of pinks. A smooth buttercream finish, with sugar pearls and delicate silk flowers. They celebrated their nuptials at the stunning Nunsmere Hall.

And finally, it was the turn of Laura and Jamie. Laura wanted an elegant, classic look for their wedding cake which fit in perfectly in the Lakeside Marquee at Thornton Manor. They chose a 4 tier all white wedding cake with alternate tiers covered in sugar crystals finshed with a beautiful silk ribbon and diamanté cake topper.
